Children’s Grief Center of New Mexico held an auction and wine competition on August 1, 2009. The event was a great success, raising an average of $50 per person.  Approximately 75 people attended this event in Placitas, New Mexico.

 

In the silent auction, Casa Rondeña’s red wines went for over $65 per bottle.

 

In what proved to be the highlight of the event, Casa Rondeña, St. Clair and Gruet wineries were represented in a competition. Everyone was provided with a ballot on which they were asked to rate each wine. Casa Rondeña won this event hands down.

 

This was a very interesting and profitable way to host a charity event.  Everyone remarked at how well it was organized and the amount of support it produced.  Thank you to all the volunteers at the Center for their excellent work and dedication to the children of New Mexico.
