French Nights ~ Vive le Québec et la poutine!
We'll talk about the French-speaking province of Québec, while we sample the quintessential Québecois cuisine, the sublime poutine! For those who don't know, poutine translates as "cheesy fries with gravy!"

Come learn the French vocabulary and history of the delicious crêpe, from the Stone Age to modern time, from a humble meal to haute cuisine!
French Nights – Pichenotte AKA Crokinole
Pichenotte AKA Crokinole: A fun disc-flicking game possibly from French Canada… The origin of the game is unclear, but what’s clear is that it’s a lot of fun, easy to learn, but hard to master! Come learn the rules and basic terms, while we sip some wine by the warm fireplace. Maryse will bring her crokinole “pichenotte” board; please bring yours if you have one!

French Nights – Les chants de Noël et le temps des Fêtes- Christmas carols and the holidays
Come sing Christmas carols in French, and learn some holiday vocabulary, while eating some of Casa Rondeña’s modern take on a traditional Bûche de Noël (Yule log dessert)! Singing is optional, sit back and listen if you don’t sing :)
