TASTING ROOM ASSISTANT

Casa Rondeña Winery is looking for an hourly team member to work in our Tasting Room, open 7 days a week from 12pm-7pm.
This is a part time or full time position; must be 21+ to apply; retail and/or restaurant industry background strongly preferred.
Must have up to date NM Alcohol Certification.
Position will earn an hourly rate plus tips & commissions on membership sales.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties.
*This job requires heavy lifting. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
An ideal candidate for Tasting Room Associate:
Knowledge and passion for wines is helpful but not required. To be a team player in an environment that requires flexibility.
Organization, problem solving, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills required.
Must be capable of working independently.
Greet, serve and educate guests in a friendly, gracious manner with the highest level of hospitality.
Effectively suggest and sell wine and wine club memberships to guests.
Ability to work with others in an effective and respectful manner.
Tasks Involved:
· Maintaining a working knowledge of the winery history, tasting room menu, products, events, wine clubs and procedures.
· Assuming responsibility for the overall cleanliness and presentation of the Tasting Room.
· Preparing daily reports based on sales, bottle counts, etc. Handling cash and balancing a cash register. Ensuring the tasting room is secure and all end of day duties are done.
· And any other duties as deemed necessary by management.

EVENTS HOST & COORDINATOR

The winery is expanding and looking for a Winery Event Host & Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, energetic, friendly, outgoing and an overall hardworking individual who takes initiative. The right candidate should be career focused and looking to grow within our business.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in event sales and planning.
  • Ability to work days, nights and weekends

This is an on-site position and the job responsibilities include:
  • A suitable person will be responsible for scheduling, pricing and collecting payments for events.
  • Marketing events and actively seeking new business.
  • Directing, educating and managing event staff.
  • Maintaining contracts, business information and reporting events to the business owner and management to review.

LEAD COOK / KITCHEN MANAGER

Casa Rondeña is a family-owned and operated winery nestled in the picturesque Village of Los Ranchos, New Mexico. Casa Rondeña provides a unique, tranquil environment to celebrate all the important moments in life.
The winery is expanding and looking for a Lead Cook/Kitchen Manager for the 1629 Club. This position will be responsible for running kitchen service, ordering and liaising with suppliers, controlling food costs, and creating seasonal menus tailored to the winery's signature, award-winning wines. We are looking for a passionate candidate, well-respected in the community, with at least four years experience as a lead cook and/or kitchen management, to include fine dining and/or specialty in a membership club. Applicants must be able to provide at least two verifiable references. Compensation is based on experience.
