Pichenotte AKA Crokinole: A fun disc-flicking game possibly from French Canada… The origin of the game is unclear, but what’s clear is that it’s a lot of fun, easy to learn, but hard to master! Come learn the rules and basic terms, while we sip some wine by the warm fireplace. Maryse will bring her crokinole “pichenotte” board; please bring yours if you have one!

Come warm up by the fire while sipping some house-made mulled wine, as we talk about the cold, the winter, and practice our conditional tense en français! Can you say “Were I to go to Québec in the winter, I would go snowshoeing” in French?

Come learn a bit of the history and vocabulary of Victor Hugo’s French masterpiece, Les Misérables! I’ll lead a few songs from Les Misérables (the musical) in French, and you can sing along, or just listen :)
